Grocery Gift Cards
Are you planning to do a lot of cooking in December? If you order and pay for grocery cards after church today, you will be helping Outreach while you cook. Stores give churches a discount so we can help people in need. Our Outreach Program will be using the money for Saturday Morning Breakfast and the Crispus Attucks meal in December.

 New Beginnings
Come join us for a long-time Christmas tradition and carol singing. A “Christmas Banquet” will be held on Friday, December 11th at 12 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The cost is $20 per person. Please make checks out to COA and write “Christmas Banquet” in the memo portion. Checks must be given to Bill Higgs or placed in the “New Beginnings” mailbox in the church office by December 6th. Transportation for Homestead attendees will be provided by the Homestead van. If transportation is needed, please indicate so with your check.

Apostles Community Preschool’s Christmas Performance
Apostles Community Preschool would like to invite church members and members of Homestead Village to join them for their annual Christmas Program in the Sanctuary. This year’s program is called Someone Has a Birthday. Performances will be on Thursday, December 17th and Friday, December 18th. Doors will open to the Sanctuary at 10:15 am, with performances starting at 10:30 am. There will also be an abbreviated preview performance following the 9:15 am service on Sunday, December 13th. Please join us for fellowship at approximately 10 am in the Narthex for coffee and pastries. At 10:30 am, the preschool children able to join us will sing several of the songs from the program.

Wishing Well
Once again, we are partnering with Apostles Preschool to gift needy children attending Martin Elementary School. Please consider participating in this holiday ministry by taking a gift tag from the poster on the Outreach bulletin board in the Narthex. Each gift tag has a name, age or grade, and gender of a student. Please wrap the gift, attach the gift tag, and place the gift under the tree next to the bulletin board by December 17th. We are also collecting new winter hats, scarves, mittens, and gloves for the students. Please consider donating winter warmth in addition to a gift, or if all of the names have been taken. Thank you so much for  helping to make a child’s holiday brighter and warmer! If you have any questions, please see Jane McCartney.

Breakfast with Santa
Bring the little ones to have breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 12 from 8:30 am–10:30 am with story time at 9:30 a.m. Breakfast will include pancakes, sausage, juice, milk, and fruit. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children ages 2-10. Bring your camera for a picture with Santa!

 Children’s Christmas Shopping
Apostles Community Preschool will be holding its annual Children’s Shopping Room on Saturday, December 12, in conjunction with the church Santa Breakfast. Children will have the opportunity to shop for inexpensive gifts for their family members secretly, with the help of Preschool parents. Times are 8:30 am-12:00 noon. Come and join the fun!

Preschool Pre-registration
Apostles Community Preschool is currently holding pre-registration for church members for the 2016-17 school year. Classes are available for children ages 2-5. Please call Linda Lewis, Registrar, at (717) 392-7437 if you would like to register. In January, registration opens for the general public.

Youth Fundraiser
Do you need to buy Christmas gifts without having to take your child(ren) with you? The Youth Group will be holding a babysitting and gift-wrapping fundraiser on Saturday, December 19th from 5-8 pm. Snacks will be provided in the Fellowship Hall. The cost is $10 per child, or $25 for three or more siblings. Childcare providers are CPR/First-Aid certified with completed background checks. Gift-wrapping services by the youth will be available in room 305 for a suggested donation of $5.
