“‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.’”
—Matthew 25:37, 40
The first Saturday of each month, Church of the Apostles serves breakfast to the hungry at First Reformed UCC on Orange Street. Beginning at 8 a.m. a breakfast consisting of eggs, sausage, pancakes, cereal, orange juice, baked goods, coffee, tea, and milk is prepared and served to approximately 200 appreciative guests.
15-20 volunteers (no experience necessary!) are needed each month for this worthy ministry. If you are interested in volunteering any first Saturday from 8-10:30 a.m. please contact Julie Berkow firstname.lastname@example.org.
“Lord, we know that you’ll be coming through this line today, so Lord, help us to treat you well. Help us to treat you well.”
