The Youth Program at Church of the Apostles is a special group of young people. Many of our youth have been at COA since their baptisms. Our youth take part in many service projects and fun events.
The youth participate in our weekly church services as acolytes, liturgical dancers and helpers for many of our Lenten and Advent events. The youth have helped with Trunk or Treat in the fall and collecting canned soup for Souper Bowl Sunday.
Service to the community allows our youth to minister to our friends at Homestead Village by organizing a Valentine Party/Talent Show, helping to feed the needy, and helping with the care of community neighbors. Recently the youth prepared hygiene kits for the effected families of Hurricane Sandy.
Come join the group if you are between 12-18 years of age. There is fun, fellowship, service, and connecting with other youth following in the footsteps of Jesus. For further inquiries about our youth program, contact the church office at 717-392-5718.

Youth Camp Out
The Youth Group camp out at Rader Park on Saturday night was a great success! After meeting for a covered dish picnic with families, the youth went fishing in the pond, played kick ball with the best grown-up kid ( Andy Smith), and at dusk we played Capture the Flag. While sitting around the campfire making smores, we got to know each other better through some special questions led by Andy Smith, “What was the first toy you remember?” We were blessed by good sleeping weather and everyone opted for sleeping in tents!!! Sunday morning was “Rise and Shine” and feast on pancakes before church. The overall comment was, “When can we do this again?” So hopefully we can set a date soon for late summer!
