Wacky Wednesday
Wacky Wednesday, a summer reading program for kids preschool age through third grade, will be held Wednesdays from June 29th-August 3rd. Children will meet in Rader Park from 10 am—11:15 am to enjoy a story, an activity, and a snack. Please contact Doris Robb at (717) 393-7788 for more information.

Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed to help with this year’s Wacky Wednesday program. We specifically need volunteers to read to the children, coordinate crafts and activities, and to provide snacks. If you have any questions, please contact Doris Robb at (717) 393-7788 or via email at robbd7788@gmail.com.

Youth Fundraiser Part II: Visit The Wood Lot
The trip to The Wood Lot on June 11—the fundraiser for our youth—was a huge, fun success. However, there was a list of those who could not attend that date. The youth do not want to disappoint anyone, so a second open house and tour is scheduled for Saturday, July 9th from 1 pm-3 pm. This time, private vehicles are the way to go. Refreshments will be served again—especially the kids’ homemade cookies!

If you have not signed up, or don’t have directions, contact Andy Appel at (717) 490-0093; or email him at andyappel@epix.net. If this date still doesn’t work for you, tell Andy and he’ll try to accommodate.

All proceeds are for the youth group’s trip this July. We appreciate your generosity!

School Furnishings for Honduras
On Thursday, June 16 at 4:30 pm, volunteers are needed to prep school furniture—a donation from the Penn Manor School District to C.A.R.E.—for shipment to Honduras.  Please visit the C.A.R.E. Facebook page for details about what tools are needed. However, help is needed even without the use of tools!  A meal at the Conestoga Wagon Restaurant after we’re done could be fun as well.

On Saturday, June 18 at 8 am, we will start loading the furniture into two shipping containers. Again, go to C.A.R.E.’s Facebook page for details. Strong backs are suggested, although there are some jobs for others as well. The Conestoga Wagon opens at 6 am and has great breakfasts!

If you have any questions, please contact Andy Appel at (717) 490-0093, or via email at  andyappel@epix.net. About 500 school children in Honduras thank you!
