Please mark your calendars for September 11^th. We will be having one combined service at 10:00 AM. This is traditionally a “return to worship” service after the summer months. During this time, we will be having a brief introduction to the work that Agile Church will be beginning for COA in the coming months. There will be a Blessing of the Backpacks and a re-energizing of the Faith Formation Classes.

Following the service, join your fellow members for a yummy traditional COA Potluck Lunch in Fellowship Hall. Parish Life Commission will supply cold drinks. We are asking attendees to supply a dish that serves 6 or more following this last name breakdown:

A-G bring a Salad or Side Dish

H–P bring a Main Course or Casserole

Q-Z bring a Dessert

*For all dishes please note any allergens including Nuts, Eggs, Milk, & Fish.

Either bring your dish to the kitchen on your way to church or bring them into the Narthex and we will have carts there to receive and then transport them to the kitchen for you. Please sign up in Realm or by calling the church office to sign up so we know how many people to prepare for.

On Sunday, September 11 at 3 PM Church of the Apostles UCC is hosting a concert by singer-composer Kira Shcherbakova who has written songs for adults and children in the pavilion of our Rader Park on Apostles Way. Kira was born in the Ukraine to a Jewish family, and came to the United States when she was ten years old and became a Christian in 2010. Her goal has been to become a professional singer, but she was rejected until she came to church. There she believes God changed her voice and gave her a purpose, to sing for Christ. She hopes to encourage people to follow God’s plan for them. Come for an afternoon of good music  and inspiration!
