Blessing of the Animals
Everyone and their pet(s) are welcome!
As we near the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, we will once again offer a Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, September 29th in the Pavilion of Rader Park from 10-11 am.
Pets of all sizes, shapes, and varieties are welcome. Please ensure they are secured in a way that provides safety for them and the other pets present.
Meet us for a blessing & refreshments!
“Blessed are you, Lord God, maker of all living creatures. You called forth fish in the sea, birds in the air and animals on the land. You inspired Saint Francis to call all of them his brothers and sisters. We ask you to bless this pet. By the power of your love, enable it to live according to your plan. May we always praise you for all your beauty in creation. Blessed are you, Lord our God, in all your creatures! Amen.” – a Franciscan pet blessing
