Get ready for a summer of exploration and fun with Wacky Wednesday, our exciting summer reading program for kids preschool age through third grade!

Running from June 19th to July 17th, 2024, Wacky Wednesday offers children a chance to delve into the wonders of nature at Rader Park.

Located at 1899 Apostles Way, Lancaster, PA 17603, follow signs to the end behind Homestead Village, Wacky Wednesday will take place every Wednesday from 10-11:30 AM. This completely free community program is open to anyone but is geared towards children ages 10 and younger.

Each session promises an adventure as children discover the fascinating critters inhabiting the park’s pond, including turtles and herons. While pre-registration isn’t mandatory, we highly encourage it. Caregivers are also required to accompany the children.

On June 19th, we’ll kick off our exploration with a focus on turtles, followed by a look at the fish in the pond on June 26th. July 3rd brings us face-to-face with snakes, and on July 10th, we’ll marvel at the beautiful herons that call Rader Park home. The program culminates on July 17th with a special presentation by Lisa Sanchez.

Join us as we celebrate Pride Month at Church of the Apostles UCC!

On Sunday, June 30th, we’ll cap off the festivities with a free screening of “The Grove,” a poignant documentary showcasing one church’s journey in embracing love for all. Proudly fostering inclusivity, we invite you to join us for this special film event at noon, following our 10 AM worship service and 11 AM social hour. Light snacks and refreshments will be served before the movie. See you there for a day of community and celebration!

Experience the rich musical heritage of Lancaster with The Malta Band on May 19th at 3 PM at Church of the Apostles UCC! Established over one hundred years ago, The Malta Band is one of the oldest concert bands in the area. Join us for an afternoon of timeless melodies and captivating performances. Admission is free, and a free-will offering will be taken in lieu of tickets. Join Church of the Apostles UCC on April 7th, 2024 at 10:30 AM for our Rader Park & Brubaker Run Clean-Up. Starting by the garden shed in the park, let’s unite from 10:30 AM to Noon to beautify our community space.

Before the clean-up, members and guests are invited to attend worship starting at 10 AM, where our congregation will bless all our volunteers. Afterward, Rev. Kuhn will lead those willing to help down to the park.

Join us for a hopping good time at our annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 23rd at 10 AM!

Join us for a morning of family fun at the Fellowship Hall parking lot (or indoors if it rains)! This community event welcomes everyone, so bring your friends, family, neighbors, and fellow church members. While the egg hunt is geared towards children aged 10 and under, all are welcome to participate. Please remember to check your child’s eggs for age-appropriate toys or allergen considerations, as candy and prizes will be randomly placed.

The Albright Chamber Singers will give a concert of varied choral music on Mar. 3rd, 2024 at 3pm in the sanctuary at Church of the Apostles, UCC in Rohrerstown.

The Albright College Chamber Singers are one of Albright’s premiere choral groups. This ensemble is designed to provide select students with the highest level of musical experience and achievement. Repertoire includes all styles, eras, and genres, including repertoire written for traditional chamber choir, pop, Renaissance, Americana, folk, non-western traditions, and new works.

A freewill offering will be taken in lieu of tickets for this concert

Grab your favorite pajamas or comfy clothes, snuggle up with a blanket and stuffed friend, and join us for this special movie night! We’ll provide snacks and drinks for everyone to enjoy!
