The Church of the Apostles UCC Property Commission made a monetary donation to Miles 4 Martin. Because of this generous gift, a banner was made and placed at the Lancaster Catholic High School Stadium. Miles 4 Martins is a 5K Cross Country Run/Walk that benefits the Martin Family Education Trust. It offers hope to the four children survived by Wes and Liz Martin by raising funds in an effort to provide a fundamental education for the children to grow and succeed in life. Our New Beginnings group”s  “Show and Tell” event was well attended and gave them a chance to learn more about each other.

Our children, youth and adults provided a wonderful live presentation of the nativity story on Saturday and Sunday as we prepare for the birth of Jesus once again.

Studies have shown that people who go to church on a regular basis are usually more relaxed than people who don’t attend church at all. Centering oneself in the presence of God calms the mind and asking God to guide our lives through prayer reminds us that we are not alone.

Let’s celebrate! Within two months, we have exceeded our goal of raising $10,000 to build a school in Honduras through Central American Relief Efforts (C.A.R.E.). The school will be built between now and January and a delegation from the church will be traveling there for the dedication. Nate Sheffer is writing a song to share with the village and our Outreach Commission will be asking for your participation in purchasing and filling backpacks with school supplies for the children. A blessing of this gift is being planned for an upcoming service. Thank you again for your generosity!

Cool jazz on a hot night! That’s what we experienced with the sounds of Jazz Ministers Big Band. A wonderful time was had by all!

We highlighted our bell choir and the gifted artists of our Apostles Academy during worship. In the afternoon we were amazed by the musical students of the Academy in their second recital. We have very gifted teachers!
