DESCRIPTION:At Church of the Apostles\, we know many are carrying deep and honest questions about faith\, especially in light of what is happening in our country and throughout the world. Questions like “Where is God in all of this?” are not signs of weak faith\, but part of a faithful journey we are called to walk together. \nTo create space for these conversations\, we invite you to a new monthly series\, Asking the Hard Questions\, hosted by our seminary intern\, Deklan Lewis\, in the Parlor. Together\, we will explore doubt\, struggle\, and belief as meaningful parts of discipleship. Our first two gatherings will include viewing and discussing the film God on Trial as we wrestle\, much like Jacob\, with faith and what it means to follow Jesus today. \nTo accommodate different schedules\, two sessions will be offered each month: Monday morning\, March 23rd at 10 AM\, and Thursday evening\, March 26th at 6 PM. All are welcome to join this thoughtful\, open\, and supportive conversation.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for our May 21\, 2026 Mocktails & Meaning™ gathering for a powerful and eye-opening conversation led by Brad Ortenzi\, Eastern USA Regional Director of ZOE International and Coordinator of the Berks and Lancaster County Human Trafficking Task Forces. Drawing on his experience as a former Ephrata Police Detective\, his work with federal and county child exploitation task forces\, and his international work combating trafficking in Thailand\, Brad will take us behind the scenes of human trafficking in Lancaster County. This session will explore how traffickers recruit and control victims\, the psychological realities of trauma bonding\, and how local task forces respond through both enforcement and prevention.
