Thank You!
Thanks to the generosity of our congregation and Homestead Village, on Friday, July 14th, I had the pleasure of bringing a check in the amount of $6,620 to Transitional Living Center (TLC). The funds are to be used to cover costs for air conditioning work done in three of TLC’s windowless rooms. The work was completed, and I got to see and feel nice cool air circulating in a room that previously was almost uninhabitable during the summer months. Between Outreach, the Garage Sale, and 28 individual donations, it truly was a church-wide commitment to support such a worthwhile ministry. Thank you for your generosity!
TLC is still collecting funds to cover the remaining outstanding balance. If you would like to donate, please make a check payable to Church of the Apostles with TLC in the memo area.
Wishing Well
Sundays during the month of July are designated as Sweaty Sundays! Please participate by bringing new navy blue pullover sweatshirts (sizes 5T to young adult) to the Wishing Well. They will be donated to Martin Elementary School. Great places to purchase these are AC Moore, Michaels, Target, and Walmart. Thank you!
Lititz Church of the Brethren Concert
Tim Zimmerman and The King’s Brass will be appearing in concert at Lititz Church of the Brethren, 300 W. Orange St., Lititz, PA, on Thursday evening, August 10 at 7:00 pm. They present hymn classics with a contemporary flair. The group features three trumpets, three trombones, a tuba, percussion and keyboards. These instruments blend together to create a time of innovative worship that will be enjoyed by all generations.
All are welcome to enjoy this time of praise and worship in music. No tickets are required, but a cost sharing offering will be received.
