Week of May 14, 2017
Food Bank
Needs: Specifically—cold cereal, rice or rice helpers, pasta, crackers, dry soup, and canned items, including soups, fruits, beans, baked beans, tomatoes, and tuna.
Market Basket
During the first three Sundays of each month, you have the opportunity to buy grocery cards in the office after service. You can buy cards for the following month and pick up the ones you ordered last month. Remember, the discount we earn from purchasing cards in bulk from Giant, Stauffers, and Weis provide food for the Saturday Breakfast downtown once a month. Helping others is easy, as well as a wonderful thing!
Adult Sunday School
The White Privilege: Let’s Talk—A Resource for Transformational Dialogue class will not be meeting today. The series will continue next Sunday, May 21.
Strengthen the Church: Invest in the Vision!
You have a special giving envelope in your box for May 28. It is Strengthen the Church, which is a special offering to energize and build the future of UCC. Shared at the conference and national levels, Strengthen the Church offerings largely support youth ministries and full-time leaders for new churches in parts of the country where the UCC’s voice has not been heard. Your gifts will support new churches, foster new ideas in existing churches, and develop the spiritual lives of our youth and young adults. Please consider giving generously to this important ministry which serves to strengthen the UCC.
