Mission to the Homeless Special Offering
Each January, we collect our Mission to the Homeless special offering. In 2015, members of Church of the Apostles donated $1,840 to this ministry and with an additional $160 from our Outreach fund, the $2,000 was divided between three local non-profits that address the needs of the homeless. Transitional Living Center received $1,000, and Water Street Ministries and Crispus Attucks each received $500. Please consider donating generously to this ministry so we can continue supporting non-profits that address the needs of the less fortunate in 2016.

Apostles Soup Calendars—Youth Fundraiser
Apostles Soup 2016 Calendars are now available for purchase. Each calendar features photos of adults and youth who participated in making our soups and more. The cost of a calendar is $20 each, and $7 will be donated to the youth’s trip to the National Youth Event. Thirty (30) calendars are available for sale; please contact Steve Daniels at (717) 299-6007 to order your copy.

Wishing Well Ministry
Our next ministry in the Wishing Well will be to support the annual Day of Smiles, which is a huge day of giving to the local community in memory of Erin and Max Nusbaum. Supplies will be collected for Milagro House, Clare House, Brereton Manor, Mom’s House, and the Pet Pantry. Please consider participating in this wonderful day of giving. There are two poster boards full of smiley notes — one above the Wishing Well and one on the Outreach bulletin board. The supplies that are needed are written on the smiley notes. Please take a smiley, purchase that requested item, and place it in the Wishing Well by February 2nd. All items will be part of a huge delivery to be made on February 6th to the five recipients mentioned above. Thank you so much for helping those in need in our community through this ministry. If you have any questions, please contact Jane McCartney at (717) 392-4844.

Widows Support Group
Widows who are looking for others to talk with about the loss of a spouse are invited to join Pastor Kuhn on Wednesday, January 27 in the Parlor from 9:30-11:00 am. Refreshments and snacks will be shared with those who are looking for this conversation.

Ushers Meeting
There will be an ushers meeting on Sunday, January 24 at 10:15 am (between services). All head ushers and ushers are encouraged to attend this meeting, as there are some changes to usher responsibilities and we need to be updated on medical procedures. Anyone interested in joining the usher teams are also encouraged to attend this meeting. We appreciate the time given by our ushers and want to make serving in this capacity a meaningful experience. See you there!
