As we embark on the Lenten season, Pastor Kuhn is thrilled to invite you to be part of a special journey of reflection and spiritual growth. We are launching two new groups centered around the theme ‘Listening for God,’ each lasting six weeks.

Here are the details:

    • Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
    • Starting February 17, 2024
  • Zoom Sessions:
    • Wednesdays, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
    • Starting February 21, 2024

These groups aim to guide participants in reflecting on their lives and tuning into the voice of Christ within, fostering a deep awareness of God’s presence. Pastor Kuhn is passionate about strengthening our faith and uncovering deeper truths through meaningful conversations—an uncommon experience in our culture.

Holder of prestigious diplomas from the American Guild of Organists, Dr. Ellison has graced venues from Longwood Gardens to historic Bruton Parish Church in Colonial Williamsburg. Hope for Ukraine: An Evening with Allina Kay

Join us at Church of the Apostles UCC on Tuesday, January 9th, at 6 PM for an inspiring evening with Allina Kay, an American missionary making a profound impact in a Ukrainian orphanage.

Allina will share her experiences working with vulnerable children in Ukraine, shedding light on the conditions they face. Notably, she will discuss the “Shade For Children” mission, a heartfelt initiative currently working towards building a new cottage to provide 8-10 orphaned or deprived children with a loving and nurturing environment.

This is a unique opportunity to learn about Allina’s mission and support a cause that touches lives in Ukraine. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided during the event.

ACP Shopping Night & Elf Delight (6-7PM)

Join us for an enchanting Children’s Shopping Night and a heartwarming Cookies with an Elf event! 🎅🍪

Kids are in for a special treat as they get to choose gifts (priced from $1 to $5) for their entire family, including beloved pets. 🎁🐾

After the shopping fun, friendly elves from the Lancaster Flute Ensemble will serenade us with Christmas tunes. 🎶

But that’s not all! We’ll have delicious treats to savor and a creative station for making “Reindeer food” and writing heartfelt letters to Santa. 🦌✍️

Dave Hass Mountain Dulcimerist

Experience the mesmerizing sounds of mountain dulcimerist Dave Haas as he presents a captivating program of dulcimer music on November 5th, 2023, at 3 PM in the sanctuary. Mr. Haas is a renowned dulcimer instructor and jam leader at music festivals in the U.S. and abroad, and he has authored numerous instructional materials for this exceptional instrument. Double Feature Storytelling with Bill Hager

Prepare to immerse yourself in an exciting evening as we eagerly anticipate the return of multi-media artist and storyteller Bill Hager and his talented troupe to Church of the Apostles on October 21st at 7PM. Join us in the sanctuary for a special double feature premiere of two captivating tales.

During this event, Mr. Hager will enchant us with the tales of Medusa and the Pearl of Poseidon” and “Brigid O’Callahan and the Turquoise Prince”. Following the storytelling, he will provide insights into the intricate behind-the-scenes process that brought these oral and photographic stories to life. Don’t miss this unique and enlightening experience.

Save the date! Join fellow COA members for a potluck lunch in Fellowship Hall after the 10AM service on Sunday, October 22nd. The newly formed Compassion Team will share valuable insights, fostering conversations with their team members. Additionally, the Implementation Team will update us on our journey towards realizing our Vision and Mission, as well as other ongoing activities.

2nd Annual Halloween Parade & Party

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 21st, from 4-6PM as we proudly present our 2nd annual Halloween Costume Parade & Party! The excitement begins in the Church parking lot, where our enchanting costume parade will set off through Homestead Village, delighting members and residents along the route.

The parade will conclude in Rader Park with live music, a bicycle raffle, ice-cream, yard games, crafts, tractor rides, and more for everyone to enjoy!
