Property Committee
When: Second Monday of the Month at 7 PM
Where: The Parlor
The Property Committee plays a vital role in fulfilling our congregation’s vision of environmental stewardship and creating a safe, welcoming space for all. Tasked with maintaining our church buildings and grounds—including the church, youth center, farmhouse, Rader Park, and barn—we ensure everything is in working order, up to code, and repaired or replaced as needed.
In alignment with our mission, we collaborate with other commissions to plan upgrades and additions that promote sustainability and environmental care. By thoughtfully managing our resources and facilities, we aim to honor God’s creation while providing a safe, inviting space for members, staff, and visitors alike.

Environmental Team
The Environmental Team at Church of the Apostles is dedicated to living out our vision of environmental advocacy through meaningful, sustainable actions. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint, exploring alternative energy sources, and creating a green church through initiatives like transitioning lawns to meadows, planting native species, and increasing recycling efforts. We aim to reduce single-use products, encourage composting, and promote eco-friendly practices such as using bamboo products and glass communion cups.
We are also focused on education, community partnerships, and exploring grant opportunities to fund environmental projects. Visit apostlesucc.org/green-justice-ministry to learn more about how we are working to protect the planet and create a more sustainable future.
